Director of Business Development

SoMedia Networks is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Business Development executive in the Vancouver area as it takes the first globally scalable, cloud-based, enterprise level video production service to market across North America. We're looking for an aggressive and goal driven individual to work directly with our VP of Business Development and CEO to make an immediate impact by leveraging an existing network and developing new relationships in the following industries; SEO, SEM, website builders, specialized hosting and website development, digital agencies, domain registrars and online directories.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and develop new partner channels for national video production
  • Make formal business presentations to C-level decision makers
  • Negotiate and close channel partners
  • Become an expert by developing and maintaining a strong understanding and knowledge of the company's products, industry, technologies and competitive landscape
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets

Desired Skills & Experience

In addition to initiative, integrity, strong work ethic and being a team player, you must have the following:

  • Minimum 3+ years of new business development experience in a related field such as web marketing, digital media or content
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives
  • Ability to have conversations at the Director, VP and "C"-levels about business issues
  • Demonstrated history of providing confident, high-energy presentations, lead client meetings with no guidance or supervision
  • Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills
  • Smart, creative, and assertive
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
