Director of Marketing Communications
As a member of SoMedia Networks marketing team, the Director of Marketing Communications will manage the development, integration and execution of all communication strategies and programs designed to promote, enhance and protect the company's brand reputation. The position is responsible for a broad range of activities related to the positioning and consistent communication of the company's compelling value proposition, unique benefits and corporate messages.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Create, manage, integrate and consistently communicate corporate messages across a variety of communication vehicles to the many audiences SoMedia serves, including customers, partners, prospects and key industry influencers.
- Engage in appropriate market research activities and develop metrics to measure brand presence, relevance and differentiation, message consistency and communication vehicle effectiveness.
- Create and implement an integrated marketing communications platform in cooperation with other marketing and leadership functions.
- Ensure brand and message consistency across all communication vehicles to include collateral, advertising, sales tools, signage, web site, social media and partner communications.
- Serve as a communication advisor to other marketing and department leaders.
- Develop and produce brochures, press releases, whitepapers, and other collateral.
- Collaborate with other marketing functions to ensure a consistent, look and feel of messages, graphic images, campaigns and promotional materials including presentations, web sites, landing pages, product announcements, customer case studies, print and electronic advertising, and trade show exhibits.
- Collaborate with other marketing leaders to oversee the design, development and maintenance of all company web sites.
- Develop key performance indicator (KPI) tracking and reporting systems to include web site analytics.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business or related discipline.
- 7+ years of marketing communications and brand strategy experience with a minimum of four years experience managing marketing communications and branding for a business-to-business technology, internet or media services company.
- In-depth understanding of the marketing communications and branding process with a passion for message consistency.
- Proven experience developing, testing, implementing and managing corporate messaging and integrated marketing communications platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing domestic and international web sites and landing pages.
- Strong background in web content development, as well as user interface best practices, web technologies to include content management systems (CMS) and web analytics systems.
- Deep understanding of marketing automation and lead nurturing
- Experience using sales and marketing automation systems.

- Effective communicator, who can relate to everyone from the CEO to developers.
